Hentai is a Japanese term used outside of Japan to describe a genre of anime and manga that features sexually explicit content, often depicting heterosexual relationships. For sexually explicit content featuring same-sex relationships, Yaoi hentai refers to gay relationships (also known as Boy’s Love), and Yuri hentai refers to lesbian relationships (also known as Girl’s Love). Despite the term, and most of the content, originating in Japan, the word hentai carries the meaning of "pervert" or "strange" in the Japanese vocabulary, not being commonly used to refer to anime or manga pornography. Some of the most common genre of hentai games include RPG Sex games and Visual Novels, although this is starting to change, with hentai games of all sorts of genres are being developed all around the globe.
