Imagine being the director of your own secret agency, tasked with finding and tracking down people with supernatural abilities. Now, imagine all of those people just so happened to be gorgeous ladies from all around the globe – human, robot, and mutants alike! And why, pray tell, would you be tracking down and collecting all these powerful, supernatural babes to form a veritable (Se)X-Men? Well, that’s the best part: you’ll have to enhance each and every one of their powers by getting down and dirty with them.
(What, were you expecting something different…?)
Like Heroes is a puzzle game with bright, vibrant, and colorful aesthetics that make each level practically pop off your phone screen. To progress throughout the game’s story and dominate the in-game arena, you’ll match different colors and shapes on a puzzle board to command your posse of buxom buttkickers to victory. In between matching matches (say that five times fast!), you’ll both recruit new girls and get closer to the ones already in your squad. As you spend more time with a girl, you’ll build up a dossier on them, where you’ll both unlock spicy animated HCGs and get to know them better as characters.
These characters make the game worth sticking with, too, because they’re a diverse and unique gaggle of soon-to-be heroines that are drawn with love and care. Like Heroes’ creative fusion of Western ‘toon art with hentai-influenced aesthetics make for a unique and beautifully illustrated game, and nowhere is that more clear than in the girls themselves. The cast is made up of both diverse human women and fantastical femme creatures, like gooey slime girls, fluffy cat girls, and glow-y robot ladies. Each girl is given her own chance to shine in both gorgeous, hi-res images and piping hot animated sequences – along with their own detailed and animated combat sprites! It’s so clear that, much like a fighting game dev putting tiny flourishes on every single move that most people will never see, these artists care about their characters and want to show them off.
Outside of gawking at every gorgeous shot of Like Heroes’ cast, the core puzzle combat loop of the game is satisfying. The progression is fair, and the satisfaction of watching your heroes get stronger and speed through puzzle boards is a strong hook. There are a lot of match games on the mobile marketplace, and if we’re being honest, so many of them feel like they run together. But the satisfying RPG loop coupled with the inspired presentation makes for a mobile match game that stands out from the pack. The gameplay will keep you hooked into the night, and the promise of more gorgeous, creative porn from the artists will keep you coming back for more the next morning.
Like Heroes is poised to be a big deal, and the places it could go from here are endless. So, why not get in on the ground floor? It’s free to start, and you’ll get some primo sex scenes and great puzzle combat gameplay right off the bat. We’re extremely excited to host this one on our platform and can’t wait to see it grow from here.
(And one writer really hopes it grows into more of the spider girl…! (●\\ᴥ\\●) )
